For lunch, I brought a couple of the leftover Chicken Pot Pockets, but since I needed to hit up EarthFare for some groceries on my lunch break, I decided to partake of their hot bar instead. BBQ beef, roasted veggies, carolina slaw, marinated mushrooms, fruit salad and raspberry kringle. (That's not it in the pic, but doesn't their food look just YUMMY?) Yuuummmm! Also picked up some groceries….organic ketchup, lo-fat canola mayo, more LC cheese, a pair of avocados, and dishwashing detergent. And how could I forget the FREE pound of deli chicken salad. That’s one of the many things I love about EarthFare: their weekly freebies. Not to mention, I just love being able to shop without reading labels since EF doesn’t carry anything with the icky stuff (HFCS, artificial flavors, etc) And dinner tonight? Why chicken salad of course! A nice scoop atop a bed of lettuce with crunchy noodles leftover from the lettuce wraps I got from PF Changs awhile back. Vanessa wanted mac’n'cheese, so I whipped up a box of Annie’s Homegrown Shells and Cheddar. It smelled so good, I tried some. Ummm…ick. Even after stirring in a wedge of LC cheese to try and improve the flavor, it still tasted sour. Not expired….I decided to let Vanessa try it and she actually said she liked it and ate half a bowl. The rest will probably get tossed.
